Build a syllable

가 나

Read & notice

A syllable needs an initial consonant and a vowel. ㄴ + ㅏ makes 나. ㅁ + ㅗ makes 모. Add a final consonant to form a three-part block: ㅎ + ㅏ + ㄴ makes 한. Vertical vowels sit to the right, horizontal vowels sit underneath, and final consonants sit at the bottom.

ㅎ+ㅏ+ㄴ→한
