A small café conversation

주세요

Read & notice

주세요 is useful when asking for something politely. 물 주세요 means “Water, please.” 커피 한 잔 주세요 asks for one cup of coffee. 한 잔 is one cup or glass in this context. Pointing to an item while speaking can help, but confirm the order rather than assuming it was understood.

You may hear 드시고 가세요? asking whether you will have it there. 포장해 주세요 asks for takeaway packaging. These are original example exchanges. Menus and service customs vary, so ask for clarification if the question is unfamiliar.

물 주세요mul juseyo

커피 한 잔 주세요keopi han jan juseyo
